A visit from the author – Tom Palmer

Year 5 and 6 had a great session meeting Tom Palmer today! We enjoyed the first public reading of the second chapter from The Barnbow Lasses as well as finding out about the inspiration behind the story.

Guy fawkes

Deighton Gates have had great fun making our own Guy Fawkes to go to the Wetherby Ings Bonfire. They are currently on display in the Wetherby Library and will be judged by the Mayor! Wish us luck! 😁
