On Thursday 15th June we were very excited because The Happy Puzzle Company came into school to encourage us to work in teams using our maths skills which allowed us to solve some fabulous puzzles amongst which were a penguin balancing challenge, a town themed jigsaw with identical segments and geometric pattern creations.
We started by working altogether to decide how to remove a large ring from plastic handcuffs using a process of elimination (together wth a little trial and error!) and quickly moved to our smaller team challenges which were lots of fun and out teachers were very proud to see such fantastic team work, sharing of ideas and the thrill of completing the puzzles.
We hope some of you got chance to have a look at (or try!) a few of the puzzles after school too.
